11 million Nigerians on Facebook... and counting

Nigeria has overtaken South Africa to become Facebook's largest user base in Sub Saharan Africa with over 11 million users. For many years, South Africa had the largest user base in Sub Saharan, but were recently surpassed by Nigeria and by quite a margin of over 2 million people, with South Africa boasting of 9.4 million people. Egypt still has the largest Facebook user base in Africa with over 16 million people. But given our population and the rate at which Nigerians are getting on Facebook, that number will dwarfed in a few years time, and Nigerians being in the lead... Like they say in Nigerian slang 'Naija no dey carry last'. 

Aliko Dangote signs multi-billion dollar deal to build Africa's largest refinery in Nigeria

Africa's richest man, one of the men who makes one proud to be Nigerian has signed $3.3 billion deal to build a refinery in Nigeria, which when completed would be the largest in Africa and will turn Nigeria into a petroleum exporter.
