Blackberry Submits BBM To Apple For App Store Approval


After announcing in May that its famous BlackBerry Messenger service would launch on competing mobile software platforms: Apple's iOS and Google's Android.

The company has confirmed that BBM has already been submitted to Apple for approval in the iOS App Store. Via Twitter, BlackBerry executive Alex Kinsella noted that "BBM for iPhone was submitted for review two weeks ago."

The company says they are excited to offer iOS and Android users the possibility to join the BBM community."

Blackberry currently boasts of 60 million active users who share billions of messages everyday.
